    摘要: An axial-direction intermediate portion (21) of a torsion beam is pressed so as to have a substantially V-shape cross section. The axial direction intermediate portion (21) includes an outer wall (21a) and an inner wall (21b). Plural protrusions (21a1) (convex portions) formed on the outer wall (21a) are in contact with the inner wall (21b). The plural protrusions (21a1) are arranged at predetermined intervals on one straight line along an axial direction of the torsion beam. An inter-wall space (21c) having a width equivalent to a height of the protrusions (21a1) is formed between the outer wall (21a) and the inner wall (21b). The width of the inter-wall space (21c) is set to a predetermined value, considering torsional rigidity and a shear center position of the torsion beam. Since the outer wall (21a) and the inner wall (21b) are in contact with each other at the protrusions (21a1), it is possible to suppress occurrence of abnormal noise that is caused when the outer wall (21a) and the inner wall (21b) slidably contact each other.

    摘要: There is provided a liquid crystal display device manufacturing method that comprises the steps of forming a sealing member along a periphery of a display area on a first surface of a first substrate, dropping a liquid crystal to the first surface of the first substrate from a top end of a liquid crystal supply needle provided to a lower end of a syringe in which the liquid crystal is filled, and dropping down the liquid crystal adhered to a surface of the liquid crystal supply needle onto the first substrate by an external force in a middle of dropping of the liquid crystal or after the liquid crystal is dropped. Accordingly, an amount of liquid crystal supplied to the substrate can be controlled with high precision.

    摘要: A plurality of main seal patterns and dummy seal patterns are formed by a sealant on one of substrates. The plurality of main seal patterns individually enclose each of a plurality of display areas. The dummy seal patterns individually enclose the plurality of main seal patterns, and sides of the dummy seal patterns facing sides of the one substrate are all interconnected. These formations enable constant vacuum levels to be maintained the inside and the outside of the main seal patterns when the inside of a chamber of an assembling device is recovered to atmospheric pressure. Therefore, distortion of substrates is impeded in the vicinity of the main seal patterns, and degradation of display quality can be prevented.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal inserted between first and second substrates and surrounded by a peripheral seal. The liquid crystal is dripped onto the first substrate in an area defined by the seal of the first substrate. The first substrate and the second substrate are joined or bonded together under pressure in a vacuum chamber. The chamber is then exposed to the atmosphere while keeping the first substrate and the second substrate under pressure. The pressure is then released and thereafter light is irradiated onto the peripheral seal. The vacuum chamber includes upper and lower surface plates to support the substrates. The surface plate includes an electrostatic chuck and a vacuum attraction passage provided in the chuck.

    摘要: According to an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a hot-rolled steel plate, a roughing process for reducing a thickness of a continuously cast slab is performed to obtain a sheet bar, and a finishing rolling process for rolling the sheet bar is effected to produce a hot-rolled steel plate having a predetermined plate thickness. After cooling down, the hot-rolled steel plate is then wound. A pair of dies 6 each of which has a tapered portion 6b on an input side and a parallel portion 6b on an output side are used in at least part of the roughing process. Further, before performing plate thickness pressing to a material in a plate thickness direction by using the dies 6, at least one of a front end and a rear end of the material is pressed in a widthwise direction to be pre-formed.

A terminal electrode is electrically connected to the end portion of the third thin-film coil.
