摘要: A portion of the exterior surface material of a knee-elbow protective guard is covered with a treatment mix comprising 4 parts of a polytetrafluorethylene/resin dispersion, one part of an acrylic polymer resin and 5% of a solution of ammonium sulfate. The treatment mix is then applied to the exterior surface material by a silk screening process, and cured by application of heat so that it bonds to the fibers of the exterior surface material of the guard. The treated portion of the resulting protective guard has a substantially lower coefficient of friction than the exterior surface material of an untreated protective guard.

摘要: Sterile, injectable, physiologically acceptable solutions of an X-ray contrast agent are prepared by autoclaving a solution of a m-carboxamido-o-iodo-N-(.beta.-hydroxyalkyl)aniline X-ray contrast agent in the presence of a physiologically acceptable buffer system the pH of which decreases with increasing temperature. The presence of a temperature dependent buffer, preferably an amine, enables X-ray contrast agents to be sterilized by autoclaving without significant decomposition.Examples of the autoclaving processes are given and solutions for autoclaving containing a m-carboxamido-o-iodo-N-(.beta.-hydroxyalkyl)aniline X-ray contrast agent and a physiologically acceptable buffer system the pH of which decreases with increasing temperature are described and claimed.

摘要: A method and apparatus for adjusting an exposure of a negative image having incremental areas to enhance the contrast of a print resulting from the negative image. The incremental areas of the negative image to be printed are initially scanned providing corresponding sensor signals which are directed to a processing circuit which separates the sensor signals into amplitude ranges according to the amplitude of the sensor signal and according to the amplitude range of the sensor signal as compared to an average sensor signal. Each range is inputted to a signal generator which provides a corresponding signal having an adjusted wavelength determining contrast and an adjusted amplitude determining intensity of exposure, each dependant upon the corresponding amplitude range and amplitude of the sensor signals, respectively. If the sensor signals are at an amplitude which is less than the average sensor signal, the corresponding signal has a proportionally increased intensity. If the sensor signals are at an amplitude which is greater than the average sensor signal the corresponding signal has a proportionally decreased intensity. The corresponding signals are directed to a color gun of a CRT which is used to provide the light necessary to illuminate the corresponding incremental area of the negative image for printing on a raw photographic stock. The wavelength of the corresponding signal generator is pre-set dependant upon the amplitude range to result in a CRT output which provides color light corresponding to a desired level of contrast created by the photographic raw stock.

摘要: Switching apparatus is disclosed having a time divided switching network for use in switching time division multiplexed channels employing PCM codes. The network employs two data memories for selectively storing received PCM codes in locations associated with specific transmission channels. These memories are addressed alternately by sequential addressing apparatus and additional memory apparatus which store selected addressing codes. These addressing codes are determined by a control unit to effect shifts in the channel assignments of respective codes by selectively transferring such codes between the data memories, thereby effecting the necessary time divided connections.

摘要: A digital line synchronizer system for use with a digital PCM TDM switching exchange will provide a vector address off-set between the address locations of WRITE and READ vectors within a multiple frame input buffer memory bank of the incoming line equipment upon the occurrence of either a loss of receive framing synchronization or the equalization of time reference between the WRITE and READ vectors with respect to the input buffer memory bank. The vector address off-set is provided to prevent the condition of information distortion due to the phenomenon of vector slippage whereby a given channel/word slot within the multiple frame memory bank is twice written with incoming PCM data under the operation of the WRITE vector address before the first stored sample of PCM data can be retrieved via the use of the READ vector address.
