摘要: A plural-channel audio signal (e.g., a stereo audio) is processed to modify a gain (e.g., a volume level or loudness) of an estimated dialogue signal (e.g., dialogue spoken by actors in a movie) relative to other signals (e.g., reflected or reverberated sound). In some aspects, a classifier is used to classify component signals in the plural-channel audio signal or the estimated dialogue signal. In some aspects, a desired volume level for the dialogue signal is maintained relative to the plural-channel audio signal or other component signals.

摘要: A method of processing an audio signal, comprising: receiving a downmix signal, a residual signal and object information; extracting at least one of a background-object signal and a foreground-object signal from the downmix signal using the residual signal; receiving mix information comprising gain control information for the background-object signal; generating a downmix processing information based on the object information and the mix information; and, generating a processed downmix signal comprising a modified background-object signal to which an adjusted gain corresponding to the gain control information is applied, by applying the downmix processing information to the at least one of the background-object signal and the foreground-object signal is disclosed.

The present invention includes an apparatus for a processing a signal, the apparatus comprising: a wire/wireless communication unit receiving object information and an audio signal which comprises multiple object groups from a multipoint control unit; a signal coding unit obtaining object group information by decoding the object information; a display unit displaying the object group information; and, an input unit receiving selection command designating at least one object group as non-recipient terminal among multiple object groups, based on the object group information; wherein, when the selection command is received, the signal coding unit generates destination information using the selection command, wherein, when the destination information is generated, the wire/wireless communication unit transmits the destination information to the multiple control unit, wherein the multiple object groups comprise first object group of first terminal and second object group of second terminal.

摘要: An apparatus for processing a signal and method thereof are disclosed. The present invention includes receiving a downmix signal generated from a plural-channel signal, mix information and phase shift information on the plural-channel signal, upmixing the downmix signal into the plural-channel signal by applying the mix information to the downmix signal, and generating an original plural-channel signal by shifting a phase of at least one channel of the plural-channel signal based on the phase shift information. According to the present invention compensate a reconstructed original plural-channel signal using compensation information (phase shift information), thereby compensating a phase or a gain lost in the plural-channel signal reconstructed by upmixing using mix information.

摘要: One or more attributes (e.g., pan, gain, etc.) associated with one or more objects (e.g., an instrument) of a stereo or multi-channel audio signal can be modified to provide remix capability. An audio decoding apparatus obtains an audio signal having a set of objects and side information. The apparatus obtains a set of mix parameters from a user input and an attenuation factor from the set of mix parameters. The apparatus then generates a plural-channel audio signal using at least one of the side information, the attenuation factor or the set of mix parameters.

In one aspect, the speech component signal is identified and modified. In one aspect, the speech component signal is identified by assuming that the speech source (e.g., the actor currently speaking) is in the center of a stereo sound image of the plural-channel audio signal and by considering the spectral content of the speech component signal.

The present invention includes receiving a downmix signal comprising plural objects, and a bitstream including object information and downmix gain information, obtaining level guide flag information for all frames indicating whether level guide information is present in the bitstream, obtaining the level guide information representing a limitation of object level applied to at least one object of the plural objects, from the bitstream, based on the level guide flag information, receiving mix information, generating modified mix information by modifying the mix information based on the level guide information and the downmix gain information, and generating at least one of downmix processing information and multi-channel information based on the modified mix information and the object information, wherein the mix information is estimated using object level for at least one object of the plural objects, and wherein the object information and the downmix gain information are determined when the downmix signal is generated.Accordingly, the present invention is able to prevent distortion of a sound quality according to panning and/or gain adjustment in a manner of providing a limited rage for the panning and/or gain adjustment.
