Abstract: A mounting receptacle for records and cassettes has at least two elements which are arranged near one another and provided with receiving devices for records and cassettes to be inserted, a first wall and a second wall provided in each of the elements and parts for connecting the elements securely and detachably in the region of the first wall and the second wall. The connecting parts include at least one bayonet screw having a screw neck with one end provided with a head and another end provided with a cam-like bayonet shoulder, and overlapping bore holes provided in the second wall and the first wall of the elements so that the bayonet screw can be inserted in the overlapping bore holes of the second wall and the first wall of the elements and being flush with surfaces of the second wall and the first wall on insides of the elements without projecting out. The bore hole in the second wall on the inside of the elements reaches a thickness of the screw head and has a diameter corresponding to a diameter of the screw head and also tapers in a portion of the second wall to a maximum diameter of the screw neck including the bayonet shoulder. The bore hole in the first wall on the inside of the elements has a diameter of the screw neck of the bayonet screw including the bayonet shoulders, the connecting member also including cam-like projections which project into the bore hole in the region directed toward the outside of the elements, the bayonet shoulders of the bayonet screw engaging under the cam-like projections.

Abstract: A supporting shelf for compact disks includes at least a first tubular housing and a second tubular housing and each has a different inner diameter but a similar cross section. The second tubular housing that has a small inner diameter is disposed within the first tubular housing. Each of the first and second tubular housings has its opening directed upward for readily engagement therebetween. Each of the tubular housings is provided with a plurality of retaining slots at the outer wall and that are parallel to each other, wherein a CD can be readily inserted and retained by the retaining slots of the housings. When a plurality of first and second tubular housings are engaged with each other, a tower-shape supporting shelf can be configured. Each of the receiving slots can be directed upward and angularly. The engagement between the first and second tubular housing can be facilitated through retaining holes and pin-shaft or retaining ball and recess.

Abstract: A storage cabinet for storing articles therein includes a stand having a base portion, and an upright pole extending upwardly along a longitudinal axis from the base portion. Abstract: A storage and display rack for two different sizes of video boxes, whereby the bigger of the two boxes will extend lengthwise in a horizontal orientation in the rack and two of the smaller boxes will extend horizontally widthwise in a side-by-side relationship in the rack, with the front ends of the two different size boxes lying in a common vertical plane. The larger boxes are supported lengthwise horizontally on a plurality of first ribs formed on spaced parallel side walls of the rack and extend only partially toward a back wall of the rack. The smaller boxes are supported horizontally widthwise between second ribs formed on both sides of a center partition and selected first ribs on an adjacent side wall, and extend completely to the back wall of the rack. Abstract: A rack for storing and displaying a plurality of recorded media, such as compact discs, in a vertical array. The rack has upper and lower sections, each of which has a plurality of vertical spaced compartments for slidably receiving the recorded media therein. The lower section is mounted on and extends upwardly from the base. Latching detents are formed on the top of the lower section and provide a snap-fit engagement with the bottom of the upper section to join the sections in a vertical stacked relationship. The upper and lower sections are substantially equal in length and can be placed in a disassembled knockdown condition juxtaposed to each other for storage and shipment to reduce the size of the storage box.

Abstract: A storage rack for storing compact disc, cassette and videotape cases in a vertical stack. The storage rack consists of a base having a tower support with a top surface set at a predetermined oblique angle. Modular components are stacked on top of the base to form a storage tower. The modular components and the corresponding storage slots are also oriented at the predetermined oblique angle. The stored cases disposed in the slots display their title at an upwardly turned angle which makes them easy to view. The base may be equipped with several tower supports to support several storage towers facing in similar or different directions.
