摘要： A brake mechanism for a baby stroller, having a plurality of wheels and a pair of rotatable push arms capable of being moved either forward or rearward. The brake mechanism comprises a connecting assembly and an actuator; and has a braking block for operatively stopping the baby stroller. The connecting assembly has a pulling slider for operatively associating with the braking block of the brake mechanism, and the actuator is operatively secured to the push arm and associated with the connecting assembly, so as to indirectly drive the brake mechanism. This allows a user to manipulate the actuator to stop the stroller from either in front of or behind the stroller.

The main movable member is biased to an upper limit position, and is movable to a lower limit position so as to engage a main brake pin with a groove in a main pin-engaging member that is connected fixedly to one wheel. Hence, the connecting member moves the auxiliary movable member from a first position to a second position so as to engage an auxiliary brake pin with a groove in an auxiliary pin-engaging member that is connected fixedly to another wheel. As a result, the wheels are locked.

The wheel axle is extendible removably into the housing. The locking unit includes an actuator connected pivotally to the housing, an elastic member mounted between an operating end portion of the actuator and the housing, and a locking pin connected to a force transmitting end portion of the actuator. The operating end portion is depressible to move the force transmitting end portion from a locking position, where the locking pin extends into the annular groove to prevent removal of the wheel axle from the housing, to an unlocking position, where the locking pin is disengaged from the annular groove to permit removal of the wheel axle from the housing.

Two braking mechanisms are mounted between the brake control seats and the wheel axles. Each braking mechanism has a braking member moved toward a wheel when the brake control seat is turned to the actuating position so as to restrain rotation of the wheel relative to the wheel axle.

摘要： The present invention relates to two braking devices employed in a baby carriage. The braking device includes a braking base, a braking wheel, a pad, a pad surface, a stop node and a linkage set. The linkage set connects to two braking devices. When the user step down the pad, the braking devices will be activated to a releasing mode. The baby carriage is therefore able to move. If the user steps down the linkage set, the baby carriage will enter into a braking mode. Thus the baby carriage will be secured and stopped.
