摘要： A parking brake assembly includes a disc defining an aperture and a ramp located adjacent to the aperture; a pedal configured to rotate the disc in a locking direction or an unlocking direction; and an actuator including a body and a spring biased to push the body towards the aperture, the actuator further including a pin positioned and arranged to ride along the ramp when the disc is rotated relative to the actuator, wherein spring is allowed to push the body through the aperture and into a mating hole, of or associated with a wheel, when the disc is rotated in the locking direction such that the pin rides down the ramp, and wherein the spring is prevented from pushing the body through the aperture and into the mating hole when the disc is rotated in the unlocking direction such that the pin rides up the ramp.

The electric motor is carried by the inner core and is provided for actuating the rotation of the outer shell alternately in two opposite directions of rotation, so as to cause rolling of the single roller on the floor alternately in two opposite directions.

When the brake handle is rotated in a second direction different from the first direction, the brake handle pulls the second brake wire.

The baby carrier includes an attachment harness worn by an adult to provide non-slip coupling between the baby carrier and the adult. The baby carrier also includes a semi-rigid coupling between the seat and harness assembly, a seat height adjustment capability, a sturdy support frame configuration, and a braking system. The baby carrier is a structurally stable device, and during use, significantly reduces the load of carrying the baby or toddler on the adult. Further, the baby carrier can have a compact size in a “stowed mode” for mobility, and can be used to meet a variety of user needs and carrying scenarios.

摘要： A brake device for use on an infant or child stroller that prevents or stops an unattended stroller from moving by engaging a pin with a socket formed in the side of a wheel when a brake handlebar is released. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the brake device is comprised of at least one wheel/brake assembly having a pin and socket configuration, a brake handlebar positioned in close proximity to stroller's handle, and a cable for connecting each wheel/brake assembly to a pivoting brake handlebar. The device enables an operator to disengage the brake device by squeezing the brake handlebar together with the stroller's handle, thus disengaging said pin member from its socket. The brake device can be incorporated into the design of new strollers, as well as, retro-fitted onto existing strollers.
