摘要： A product packaging is disclosed. The product packaging includes a base box and a cover. The base box includes a base panel and cushioning cells together defining a product-receiving space. The cushioning cells include an upper cushioning cell disposed at an upper edge of the base panel, a lower cushioning cell disposed at a lower edge of the base panel, a left side cushioning cell disposed at a left side edge of the base panel, and a right side cushioning cell disposed at a right side edge of the base panel. The cover covers the product-receiving space and is coupled to the left side cushioning cell and to the right side cushioning cell. The left side cushioning cell and the right side cushioning cell are hingedly coupled to the base panel. The base panel and the cushioning cells are integral and formed from a single blank.

The box has a one-dimensional configuration before it is formed and a three-dimensional configuration after it is formed. The three-dimensional configuration is formed from a blank which lies flat and has a plurality of fold lines. A second blank may be employed in forming the box. The three dimensional configuration of the box includes a base portion, four side portions, a cover portion and a platform within the interior of the box that is capable of moving in an angled manner out from the interior of the box upon opening the box and of moving inside the interior of the box upon closing the box.

Packaging systems can also include internal pivotable flaps with interference members disposed in a hinge area to cause the internal pivotable flaps to function as leaf springs.
