    Abstract: An easily displaceable sliding door configured to be installed in an opening of a partition wall includes a shutter having an upper edge, a carriage secured to the shutter at the upper edge, a guiding member configured to be secured to the opening substantially parallel to the upper edge to allow sliding of the carriage, a magnetic unit having a lower portion integral with the shutter and an upper portion configured to be secured to the guiding member to reduce the weight force of the shutter to facilitate displacement, wherein the upper and a lower portions are separated by an air gap. The guiding member is of linear type and includes a straight cavity with an upper wall for supporting the upper portion of the magnetic unit, the upper edge and the a carriage being entirely embedded in the cavity to be hidden from external view.

    Abstract: A magnetic doorstop system useful for holding a door in an open position, which may include a cover-end, a first part, and a second part. The cover-end may have cushioning properties and may be placed over an end of an existing doorstop without removing the doorstop from an installed condition. The plate may be adhesively-attached to a bottom of a door. The cover-end and the second part may each have an embedded magnet such that when the door is fully opened, the two magnetic pieces may engage and retain the door in an open condition. When installed, the cover-end and the second part may jointly act in combination to prevent damage to an adjacent wall from the door or door hardware when the door is in an opened condition.

    Abstract: A door closer has a housing for connection to a door and a drive spindle (10) coupled to the door. As the door moves the spindle (10) and housing (11) rotate relative to one another. The relative movement is translated by a piston and cam mechanism (21, 22) into a force that is used to separate a pair of magnets (28). The magnetic attraction of the magnet pairs (28) serves as a force to resist opening of the door and biases the door from an open to a closed position. At least one first magnet is coupled to the drive member and at least one second magnet (32) coupled to the housing. The magnets are arranged in the housing with their opposite poles facing one another such that there is a magnetic force of attraction between them. At least one further biasing spring (36) may be provided to provide a biasing force after the magnetic force has diminished by separation of the magnets.

    Abstract: A side sliding door apparatus for a vehicle includes one of two sliding doors driven by an actuator, and the other moves in conjunction with the one sliding door via a direction converting mechanism. When the sliding door is in a closed condition, a latch rod is inserted into a lock hole to lock the sliding doors in the closed condition. A roller is pushed up on a cam surface when the sliding doors are opened, which releases the locking. An upper level surface of the cam surface forms an inclined surface with a downward gradient, which prevents the roller from unexpectedly going beyond the starting end of the upper level surface and dropping due to vibration or the like being applied to the slider in the unlocked condition, and prevents the locking with the locking mechanism in response to the next sliding door closing command.

    Abstract: A magnetic bumper apparatus for constraining a vehicle closure to a vehicle closure interface includes first and second magnetic members configured for attachment to the closure and closure interface, and a non-magnetic bumper element interposed therebetween.
