    摘要: A quick-connect fitting includes a polymeric first connector in fluid communication with a first component, and a polymeric second connector in fluid communication with a second component. The first connector is either a male fitting or a female fitting, and the other of the male fitting and female fitting is the second connector. The female fitting includes a longitudinal cylindrical cavity having therein a retaining ring retaining an o-ring, and the male fitting includes a cylindrical body and a tubular sealing element extending longitudinally therefrom positionable within the polymeric female fitting and o-ring in sealing engagement. The quick connect fitting includes a clip pivotably connected to the second connector moving between a first position connecting the female fitting to the male fitting when the male fitting is positioned within the female fitting and a second position in which the male fitting is removable from the female fitting.

    摘要: A bottom loading coupler may include a coupler body and a plurality of interlocks. Each interlock may be positioned in a corresponding slot in the body sidewall and have an engaged position and a disengaged position with respect to the coupler body. A coupler sleeve formed from a first material may be slidably positioned around the body sidewall of the coupler body. A wear ring formed from a second material may be disposed on the inner circumference of the coupler sleeve. The wear ring and the coupler sleeve may form an interlock retaining seat. The coupler sleeve may have a first, retracted position relative to the coupler body, wherein the interlocks are biased to the disengaged position and retained in the interlock retaining seat. The coupler sleeve may also have a second, extended position relative to the coupler body, wherein the wear ring biases the interlocks to the engaged position.

    摘要: A quick connect fuel hose connector for connecting an LP fuel hose to a threaded inlet fitting on a vehicle or appliance fuel tank comprises an annular body having an inlet for fuel at an inner end and an outlet for fuel at a recessed opening in an outer end. Latch members pivotally mounted in slots on opposite sides of the body engage and latch the connector to the fuel tank inlet fitting when the connector is fitted over the inlet fitting. A lost motion spring seal maintains a tight seal between the connector and the inlet fitting. A replaceable nose seal on an outlet valve in the connector provides an improved sealing connection between the connector outlet valve and the fuel tank inlet valve.

    摘要: A coupling for a vacuum system includes a socket member and a plug member. The socket member has a body defining a through bore opening at a front face. A cover supporting a gasket is pivotally carried on the socket member and adapted to cover and seal the through bore opening. The plug member includes a body defining a tubular nipple dimensioned to be received within the socket member through bore. A seal is carried by the plug member and positioned to engage the front face of the socket member when the nipple is inserted into the socket member. A lock pin is carried by the cover and dimensioned to fit within a recess defined by the plug member body.

    摘要: An over-the-center toggle mechanism for actuating locking dogs for connecting and disconnecting two underwater members. The first member includes a locking notch and the second member slideably carries locking dogs for transverse movement for engagement and disengagement with the locking notch. A toggle linkage includes a first pivot connection connected to the dogs and a second pivot connection longitudinally actuated by a piston whereby longitudinal movement of the second pivot connections transversely moves the locking dogs. A resilient load spring acts against the second pivot connections and towards said first pivot connections for locking the second pivot connections in a past dead center position relative to the first pivot connections. The second member includes a tubular body having an annular cavity with a longitudinally reciprocal carriage mounted in the cavity and actuated by the piston. The second pivot connections and the spring are transversely movable on the carriage and carried by the carriage. Preferably the cavity includes seals for sealingly enclosing the cavity and includes a flexible member exposed on one side to the interior of the cavity and on the second side to the exterior of the cavity for compensating for a difference in fluid pressure between the cavity and the outside of the body.
