摘要: A method for making moldable and cuttable composite material for magnetic moment calibration of samples with specific shapes is provided. The method is used to quantify a magnetic moment per unit weight from the moldable and cuttable composite material. The moldable and cuttable composite material is made by a non-magnetic matrix with superparamagnetic particles, paramagnetic particles, or ferromagnetic particles without anisotropy. Then, the moldable and cuttable composite material is shaped and tailored into calibration samples with specific shapes. The method provides a method for making calibration samples with the specific shapes, wherein the calibration samples are easily shaped and tailored to same or similar shapes and sizes as test samples. The method improves an original method for making a standard calibration sample, wherein the original method only used pure nickel ball or high purity palladium wire structure.

摘要: An aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide is prepared in an additive process by subjecting graphitic carbon, such as biochar, in water or an aqueous solution to a high-shear environment in the presence of a dispersing agent to exfoliate graphene oxide. An intercalating agent may be added to facilitate exfoliation, and optionally neutralized. The graphitic carbon may be pre-processed by wet milling prior to exfoliation. The aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide may be used as a concrete admixture in a concrete composition.

摘要: Reinforcing filaments or fibers, such as aromatic polyamide (aramid) fibers, can be reliably measured and consistently mixed into asphalt cement concrete by soaking the fibers in a wetting agent, then severing them to a desired length, and mixing the segments with other ACC ingredients. The wetting agent holds the fibers together loosely, so they can be distributed more uniformly throughout the ACC without clumping. The wetting agent soaks into the ACC mixture and/or evaporates, leaving the reinforcing fibers behind.

摘要: The present invention relates to very high workable yet controllable concrete mix design, admixture composition, and process for placing concrete. The mix design relates to particular aggregate/cement ratios and types which are characteristic of ready mix concrete (RMC), which provide high fluidity reminiscent of self-consolidating concrete (SCC), and which provides advantages over both RMC and SCC in terms of ease and speed in placement and finishability at the construction site placement zone, regardless of whether into a horizontal formwork (e.g., for slabs, floors) or into vertical formwork (e.g., for blocks, walls, columns, etc.), without loss of control and without generating high risks of segregation even when small amounts of water are added at the size to facilitate finishing of the concrete surface. An inventive admixture combination which enables this unique design involves two different polycarboxylate comb polymers in combination with two specific viscosity modifying agents, and this combination provides highly workable concrete to be placed in a controlled, efficient manner.

摘要: A premixed photoluminescent composition and related hardened form and method of forming joints for pavers or stones. The premixed photoluminescent composition comprises solid aggregates; a photoluminescent particulate component adapted to emit light when photoexcited; and a binder. When in contact with an activator, oxygen or water, the binder is adapted to harden into a water-resistant binder matrix that bonds the solid aggregates and embeds the photoluminescent particulate component. In use, the water-resistant binder matrix has a transparency allowing transmission of at least a portion of the light emitted by the photoluminescent particulate component.

摘要: In the method for manufacturing conglomerate stone slabs using the Bretonstone technology, in the variant where the starting mixture is enclosed between two paper sheets, the improvement consists in replacing each paper sheet with a containment element consisting of a paper sheet, one surface of which has, applied thereon, a film of plastic material which is impermeable to organic vapours, impermeable to the liquids and in particular to the liquid resin constituting the binder of said mixture, resistant to the catalysis temperatures of the said resin and resistant to hot solvents and chemical vapours. Preferably, said plastic material is water-soluble, in particular polyvinyl alcohol.
