摘要:
Apparatus for fastening rails on ties of a railroad comprising four rail screws for flushly mounting an abutment face of a bedplate against the upper surface of the tie and a pre-stressed, elastically deformable bedplate having a convex curved abutment face for frictionally engaging the upper surface of the tie and for applying a spring force against the rail screws when the rail screws are used to brace the curved abutment face flush against the tie.

Resilient support means for securing a rail to a rail bed comprises a base member, a rail location member and resilient mounting means acting between the base member and rail location member. The rail location member has side portions which are inclined relative to the rail abutment surface so that lateral steering forces experienced by a rail result in a combination of shear and compression forces in the resilient mounting means. The side portions may be inclined at any angle in the range from 15.degree. to 45.degree. preferably 30.degree..The side portions may be inclined upwards and outwards relative to a center portion or they may be inclined downwards and outwards relative to the center portion. The rail location member has means for directly securing a rail to the rail abutment surface. The mounting means may comprise a single element or a plurality of elements made from a suitable elastomeric material.

A metal holder for disposing a guide structure on a concrete foundation, the holder having a top part in the form of an open housing which serves for lateral retention of the guide structure and in which fastening means can engage, the housing being provided with anchoring parts at the underside, wherein the housing is provided with a metal baseplate disposed in a plastic mortar panel which adjoins all round the housing by a horizontal top surface and which adjoins a layer of plastic mortar on the underside, said layer of plastic mortar completely surrounding the anchoring parts of the housing.

A reenforced precast concrete railroad tie having rail supporting and anchoring plates integrally molded thereinto. The rail plates in one form have a pair of L-shaped anchor and reenforcing rods welded to each of the gage and field sides of the tie plate, with portions of the rods having substantial longitudinal length to supplement other reenforcing rods molded longitudinally within the tie. The tie plate is further provided on its generally planar underside with either a welded on or integrally formed fixed threaded nut depending between each pair of the L-shaped rods at the gage and field sides to accomodate complementally threaded bolts cooperating with rail clip fasteners, the bolts passing through tie-plate-formed apertures correspondingly aligned with the threaded opening in the nuts. In another form the L-shaped rods are replaced by inverted T ot pi shaped rods. A novel apparatus subassembly and related method utilizing presently conventional components and techniques in a novelly improved manner is also contemplated herein.
