摘要： An antenna connector communicates with antenna input/output circuitry of a transmitter/receiver such as a portable telephone. A length of conductive cable is provided with a connector for physical connection to the transmitter/receiver. The same connector is adapted for spaced, electronic connection with the input/output circuitry using at least one of induction and capacitance without a connecting conductor. The other end of the cable is adapted for conductive connection with an antenna. Thus, a non-invasive, removable connection is provided between an antenna and a portable telephone or the like to upgrade the performance of the telephone when needed, for example in an automobile.

摘要： An antenna cable connector system is provided comprising a coaxial cable having a main central conductor, a coaxial dielectric, a coaxial braid conductor, and an outer insulative jacket. A connector having a conductive tube at its distal end receives the main central conductor. A main body portion is provided for receiving the coaxial dielectric. A sleeve is located proximal to the main body portion for surrounding the outer insulative jacket. An antenna box is provided having means for receiving the connector with a push-in fit. The receiving means includes a conductive member having an opening for receiving the conductive tube. A set screw carried within a lateral passage defined by the antenna box locks the connector to the antenna box.

摘要： An antenna system for mounting on a glass plate with a radiator extending from one side of the glass plate and with an electrical connector and a cable extending from the opposite side of the glass plate whereby energy is transferred through the glass plate. Coupling means for a cable is provided, defining a receptacle for retaining the coupled end of the coaxial cable at an angle of essentially 15 to 60 degrees to said glass plate in said mounted position. Also, the antenna may define a helical base portion which may be attached to the glass plate on the side opposite to the coupling means. The helical base serves to shorten the antenna, and also to simultaneously serve as an electrical phase cancelling coil. Additionally, improvements are disclosed in the design of field cancelling conductors used.

摘要： An antenna is disclosed which is particularly suitable for use with a cellular mobile phone. The antenna may be mounted on the rear window of a vehicle, and it includes a current fed one-quarter wavelength radiator adapted for mounting on one side of the window. An electrically conductive inner transfer member is mounted on the inside of the window in alignment with the radiator and a pair of spaced field-cancelling conductors are attached to the inside of the window and are spaced from the inner transfer member. The central conductor of an RF coaxial cable is coupled to the inner transfer member and the surrounding ground conductor of the coaxial cable is coupled to the field-cancelling conductors. In one embodiment, the one-quarter wavelength radiator comprises a pair of parallel, spaced radiator elements. RF energy is transferred through the vehicle window and the drilling of a hole for coupling the radiator to the coaxial cable is unnecessary.

摘要： A body panel mount antenna, for generally mounting in a metal panel of an automobile, is provided. The antenna includes a radiator whip and a mounting assembly and is particularly suitable for use in the frequency range of over 1000 MHz. The mounting assembly provides support for the radiator whip and comprises an electrically conductive conically shaped member. A base for anchoring the antenna to a metal panel is also provided. The base and mounting assembly are attachable through an opening in a metal panel in such a way that the conically shaped member is in continuous positive contact with the metal panel. The contact between the conically shaped member and the metal panel causes the metal plate to act as a ground plane for the antenna.

A set screw is carried by the housing and engages the ground plate so that movement of the set screw varies the position of the ground plate relative to the radiator plate.
