    摘要: Waste material that is introduced into waste inlet units (10) is managed by connecting the inlet units to a temporary storage volume (3) for charging the storage volume with the waste and by controlled, intermittent opening of the storage volume for the removal of accumulated waste therefrom. Specifically, waste is introduced into each inlet unit during an inlet charging phase; shaft charging vacuum (CV) is applied to the storage volume and is maintained continuously therein except when waste is removed from the storage volume; and the charging vacuum and atmospheric air (AA) is intermittently communicated to the inlet unit to charge the storage volume with the introduced waste.

    摘要: Vacuum waste collection system is provided (1a) by successively selecting a number of branches in a sequence for emptying and transport of waste, wherein the intersection (1, 2, 3, 4) of each next branch in the sequence is at the same o shorter transport distance to a central waste collection point (6) compared to the intersection (1, 2, 3, 4) of the previous branch in the sequence, and collectively transporting accumulated waste from the selected branches towards the central waste collection point (6) by successively operating the air inlet valves (av1, av2, av3, av4, av5) of the corresponding branches. For each selected branch except the last branch, accumulated waste is transported towards the central collection point (6) by causing the corresponding air inlet valve (av1, av2, av3, av4, av5) to be open until it is detected by detector means (WO) in the transport pipe system that the waste has been transported past an intersection (1, 2, 3, 4) to the next branch, and then changing to the next branch For the last branch, accumulated waste is transported to the central waste collection point (6).

    摘要: A storage container (108) for temporarily storing deposited waste (W) in a vacuum operated waste collection and management system has at least one waste deposit inlet (110A-C), a waste outlet section (120) with a waste discharge opening for the discharge of waste therefrom and a spiral conveyor (111) extended in a first direction through the container, towards the outlet section for assisting discharge of waste from the container via subatmospheric pressure applied through the outlet section. In such a container the spiral conveyor with a screw flight (111A) thereof extends through the waste outlet section and the outlet section includes a waste discharge opening being directed at a considerable angle to a centre axis of the spiral conveyor. Such a storage container may be employed in both vacuum operated waste collection systems of a stationary type and to such systems of a mobile type.
