摘要： A yard waste bag holding apparatus includes a rectangular-shaped frame, two foldable arm assemblies, and a ring with a flange for abutting the top of the arm assemblies. A bag may be attached to the ring, holding the bag open and upright and preventing it from collapsing, folding in on itself, or blowing or tipping over. The user may insert a greater volume of yard waste into the bag at one time, thus increasing efficiency. An insert for engaging a hose of a vacuum to the ring may be added. Further, a wheel attachment may be coupled to the frame to place the apparatus at a given angle. Placing the apparatus at an angle prevents the apparatus from tipping during use with a vacuum and reduces the stress at the joining of the hose and the apparatus.

摘要： A system for handling organic waste at a food-handling facility includes a mill that reduces the volume of the waste and a below-ground storage tank that receives the milled waste. A ventilation line and an air flow producer draw air from the storage tank, placing the tank under negative pressure and preventing noxious odors from escaping into the facility. A rigid suction line extends from the interior of the storage tank to points external to the tank and the facility itself. A suction truck periodically removes the waste stored in the tank, applying suction to the suction line to draw the stored waste into a portable tank aboard the truck. The suction truck transports the waste to a disposal site where the well-divided waste may be expelled onto and incorporated by tilling into soil for decomposition by soil organisms.

A discharge outlet is installed on the storage tank for connection to a discharge hose of a collection truck. The discharge outlet has an air admittance valve for admitting ambient air into the discharge hose while the slurry is sucked out of the storage tank through the discharge hose and into the collection truck.

Such waste material is normally deposited in large sized trash cans each of which are provided with an opening located near the closed bottom end thereof. A mobile unit is provided with suction generating means coupled to a flexible elongated hose of relatively large diameter. The flexible elongated hose, preferably of a corrugated type, has an outwardly directed flange spaced inwardly from its free end and adapted to be seated upon the upper circular edge of a trash can with the marginal portion of the free end of the hose protruding slightly into the interior of the can. Energization of the suction generating means enables the contents of the refuse container to be easily and rapidly removed.

Such a storage container may be employed in both vacuum operated waste collection systems of a stationary type and to such systems of a mobile type.
