摘要: In a wireless network, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) may be transmitted in multiple repetitions, which may cause ambiguity in cases where a user equipment (UE) has to determine a default downlink or uplink beam to receive or transmit a data channel. Accordingly, in cases where a UE receives a PDCCH associated with a repetition configuration and the PDCCH does not include a beam indication, the UE may determine a default beam to receive or transmit a data channel scheduled by the PDCCH based on the repetition configuration of the PDCCH. For example, the PDCCH may be associated with multiple control resource sets (CORESETs) and/or a CORESET associated with multiple transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. Accordingly, the UE may determine the default beam based on one or more parameters associated with the multiple CORESETs and/or the multiple TCIs associated with a CORESET.

摘要: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitates managing assignment of available random access resources in order to minimize delay and random access load. A number of available random access resources can be defined by a network or a base station, wherein a user equipment can access the number of available random access resources via an information block. The user equipment can be randomly assigned or uniformly assigned to at least one of the number of available random access resources. Additionally, the network can adjust the defined number of available random access resources based upon reported delay, base station load, or historic load data for a base station.

摘要: To perform time synchronization using spectral estimation, a receiver obtains a frequency response estimate for pilot symbols received on each set of frequency subbands used for pilot transmission. The receiver performs spectral estimation on frequency response estimates for different sets of subbands to obtain a measured arrival time for a transmission from a transmitter. The spectral estimation determines a dominant frequency component in the frequency response estimates and derives the measured arrival time based on this dominant frequency component. A time error between the measured arrival time and a desired arrival time is computed and possibly filtered. The filtered or unfiltered time error is scaled with a fixed or adjustable gain. A time adjustment is then generated based on the scaled time error and using linear and/or non-linear functions. The time adjustment is sent to the transmitter and used to adjust the transmit timing at the transmitter.

摘要: An apparatus includes one or more transmitters configured to transmit, from a first user equipment (UE) to a second UE, a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) setup request indicating a first DRX configuration of the first UE. The apparatus further includes one or more receivers configured to receive, from the second UE, a sidelink DRX setup response based on the sidelink DRX setup request and indicating a second DRX configuration. The one or more transmitters are further configured to transmit, to a first base station, an uplink message indicating the second DRX configuration, and the one or more receivers are further configured to receive, from the first base station, a downlink message indicating one or more adjusted parameters of the first DRX configuration that are based at least in part on the second DRX configuration.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for reducing the decoding complexity for low cost devices (e.g., low cost UEs). One technique may include simplifying the PDCCH format. This may include generating a compact DCI format for transmitting DCI to a low cost device. The compact DCI format may correspond to at least one standard DCI format used by a regular UE and may comprise a reduced number of bits when compared to the standard DCI format. Another technique may include reducing the number of blind decodes. This technique may include selecting a set of resources for transmitting DCI from a limited set of decoding candidates, such that a receiving low cost device need only perform blind decodes for the limited set of decoding candidates.

摘要: Various embodiments relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to methods and apparatus for authorizing use of spectrum, e.g., through the issuance of spectrum access keys, and/or preventing or discouraging the unauthorized use of licensed spectrum. Peer to peer wireless communications between authorized users of licensed spectrum may involve scrambling/descrambling of information communicated between authorized devices. In some embodiments air interface timing and/or other information received from a second device, e.g., a beacon or GPS transmitter, is incorporated into a computation of a pseudo-random bit sequence which is also computed based on a spectrum access key communicated to authorized spectrum users. In some embodiments authorized peer to peer devices scramble communicated information based on the generated pseudo random bit sequence thereby preventing or discouraging communication with devices which are not authorized to use the spectrum and lack a spectrum access key used to generate the pseudo random bit sequence.
