摘要: Example techniques described herein involve a point-of-contact (POC) playback device that operates as an intermediary between the cloud and a media playback system that includes the POC playback device. As the intermediary, when the cloud issues a command to the media playback system, the POC playback device may perform some or all processing of the command to determine how to implement that command in the media playback system. For instance, the POC playback device may determine the target devices for a command, and then cause the target devices to carry out the command. This processing by the POC playback device may simplify control of the media playback system from the perspective of third party controllers, as these controllers need not have full and/or completely up-to-date knowledge of the media playback system functionality and status, among other possible benefits.

摘要: Mechanisms for managing output of an HDMI source are provided. In accordance with some implementations of the disclosed subject matter, a method for controlling output of an HDMI source is provided, the method comprising: establishing a connection between the HDMI source and an HDMI sink at a first address of a consumer electronic control bus of the HDMI sink; sending a request for an identity of the active source connected to the HDMI sink; monitoring signals on the consumer electronic control bus; receiving a message over the consumer electronic control bus identifying a second address on the consumer electronic control bus different from the first address as an address of an active source; setting a status of the HDMI source as inactive in response to receiving the message; and inhibiting output of video from the HDMI source to the HDMI sink in response to the status being set as inactive.

摘要: A community access or cable television (CATV) entry adapter interfaces to a CATV network and serves as a hub in a Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) network. MoCA signals communicated between active ports of the entry adapter are rejected by MoCA frequency rejection filters to avoid interfering with the functionality of an eMTA subscriber device connected to a passive port of the entry adapter, without interfering with the passage of CATV upstream and downstream active and passive signals.

In some embodiments, the technology relates to a computer-implemented method of packaging media files. A list of one or more media asset IDs is received by a media packaging server. A packaging template is received by the media packaging server. One or more media files based on a media asset ID in the list of the one or more media asset IDs and the packaging template are retrieved, by the media packaging server. Metadata associated with the media asset ID based on the packaging template is retrieved by the media packaging server. The one or more media files and the metadata are packaged by the media packaging server into a delivery package in a packaging format indicated by the packaging template.

摘要: One or more circuits for use in a transceiver that is collocated with a satellite dish, may receive a satellite signal carrying media content, and remove content protection from the received media content. After removing the first content protection, the one or more circuits may apply second content protection to the media content. The content protection applied by the one or more circuits may adhere to a different protocol, utilize different keys, and/or otherwise be distinguishable from the content protection that was removed. After applying the content protection, the one or more circuits may transmit the media content onto one or more links between the satellite dish and one or more client devices. The removal of the content protection may comprise descrambling and/or decrypting the media content. The application of the content protection may comprise scrambling and/or encrypting the media content.

摘要: The present application is applied to the field of communication technology, and provides a method and system for realizing seamless connection of streaming media data in a smart home. The method includes: caching, by a streaming media server, streaming media data between a current frame and a latest streaming media data frame in a streaming media file, the latest streaming media data frame is a streaming media data frame last received from a network, and the current frame is a first streaming media data frame corresponding to a current play progress when a first client plays the streaming media file; transmitting, by the streaming media server, streaming media data starting from the current frame to a second client requesting the streaming media file; transmitting, by the second client, a second streaming media data frame corresponding to a current play progress when playing the streaming media file to the streaming media server. In the present disclosure, when two mutually isolated terminals play the streaming media data, one terminal may resume contents of another terminal and fast seamless switch is achieved, thereby making the streaming media data be more easily transferred between different smart terminals.
