    摘要： There is disclosed herein a tube case having first and second sections wherein the open ends of the two sections can be slid together to provide a carrying case for elongated items, such as fishing rods, rifles, golf clubs, golf bags and the like. One section is smaller in cross-section than the other such that the closed end of that section can be inserted into the open end of the other section to provide a more compact assembly for storage and shipment. The sections of the tube case are designed so that a portion or an edge at the open end of the outer case abuts a shoulder on a latch plate or bracket on the other case to both provide a stop when the open ends of the two sections are placed together for carrying an article, and further to properly orient the ends of the two sections so that latches can be readily and simply engaged and latched to lock together the two sections.

    摘要： An equipment case comprising a body and a door includes a compound hinge system connecting the door and the body which allows the door to rotate 270 degrees relative to the body. The compound hinge system has a hinge and a plurality of pins which engage the body or the door. The door can be removed by lifting on the door such that the pins are disengaged from the body. The door of the equipment case can be secured to the body by one or more latch systems. The equipment case may further comprise integrated platforms molded into the corners of an interior chamber of the case. The platforms comprise inserts which are configured to engage a shock absorber or frame.

During impact to the top or bottom surface, the entire surface acts as a bumper or shock absorber to spread the load of the impact across the surface, as opposed to in the direction of the impact itself. Thus, the valences are less likely to experience the force of such an impact, and therefore less likely to incur damage.
