    摘要： Building units, such as concrete blocks, are tested by inserting an expandable member within a core of the block with means for applying uniaxial force from the expandable member against opposite walls of the core at the appropriate location and properly oriented so that the force is distributed along such walls, and increasing the force until the walls fracture, the force required to fracture the wall being measured by the apparatus.
