摘要： Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a flexible boot for at least partially encompassing an electronic device. In one embodiment, the boot includes a rear panel and a sidewall extending from the real panel. The sidewall includes an inner surface, an outer surface, and a plurality of compressible hollow regions positioned between the inner surface and the outer surface. The rear panel and the inner surface of the sidewall at least partially define a cavity configured to receive the device. Other embodiments of the present disclosure provide a case for housing an electronic device. In one embodiment, the case includes an elastomeric boot and a rigid posterior portion defining an opening therethrough through which a portion of the boot extends. The boot includes a sidewall and is configured to receive the device such that the sidewall at least partially surrounds a plurality of lateral sides of the device.

摘要： An electronic device holder having a retention member for retaining an electronic device, such as an MP3 player, preferably an Apple® IPod nano having a multi-touch color screen, and a strap or shank attached to the retention member to allow fastening to an object, such as a user's wrist or a chain, is disclosed. The device may be secured by friction fitting into a recessed area having two ridges to engage the device along two edges. The device may be inserted by sliding or snap fitting into the recessed area. An opening along the back of the recessed area allows the device to be pushed laterally or vertically from the retention member. Alternatively, the retention member may be a two-piece frame which partially encloses the device. The frame pieces affix to either a wristband strap or a carabiner clip shank as they are secured to one another.

摘要： A protective case for housing a mobile device is provided. The protective case comprises a top shell that seals against a top surface of a device and a bottom shell that cradles the bottom of the device. The top shell provides a downward extension along its perimeter that fits within a trench or pocket formed around at least a portion of the perimeter of the bottom shell. An underside of the top shell includes a permanently chemically bonded compressible and waterproof film layer. The waterproof film layer is configured to seal directly against the top surface of the mobile device.

The protective case is equipped with a communications module that may include a transceiver or transmitter configured for transmitting and receiving wireless communication signals without the assistance of any wireless communication circuitry within the wireless communication device. The communications module may be configured to enable communication between the protective case and one or more remote communication devices via a short range network. The communications module may be activated by a push-to-talk switch or the like, and may be powered by an integral auxiliary power source that may also be used to power or recharge the wireless communication device. The case may also include a processor or printed circuit board capable of interfacing with a processor of the wireless communication device.

The protective frame may also include an opening adapted to receive sound-permeable, waterproof inserts for an audio port of the electronic device. The protective frame further includes fastening holes for attachment to the wrist strap. The protective frame may be a two-piece frame that partially encloses the electronic device.
