摘要: A water storage and management system takes water from a water source, such as captured run-off, and through a piping system, directs a flow of the water into an aquifer for storage and future utilization. Using moisture detectors, the system ascertains the water content of different layers or zones of the aquifer and reports this information to a digital processor. The digital processor may utilize this information to issue instructions to one or more control valves to direct the flow of the water into portions of the aquifer which have additional storage capacity. The digital processor may also instruct a submersible pump to withdraw from the aquifer as desired. This system is utilized in a method of banking groundwater from a remove location. Such groundwater storage may result in receipt of groundwater recharge credits.

摘要: An elastically deployable panel structure for space solar array applications includes a support structure having a first stowed configuration and a second deployed configuration. The stowed configuration has elastic strain energy that powers deployment of the support structure. The elastically deployable panel structure does not include a boom. Longitudinal edges of the support structure may be curved downward to form an open cylinder when in the deployed configuration. The support structure is configured to be operable as a mounting surface for solar cell arrays.

摘要: A rod pump plunger is so constructed to collect oil from a produced fluid from an oil well and use it to lubricate the plunger inside of a pump barrel. The plunger has a first sealing structure, a second sealing structure, and penetrating ports in between the sealing structures. A fluid trap which captures oil from the produced fluid flowing through the plunger is formed interior to the body of the plunger and is connected to the port. The trap is connected to a penetrating port such that the trapped oil will flow into the first and second sealing structures. The trap is sized to capture sufficient oil to exceed oil slippage from a pump during each stroke. The oil lubricates the plunger to increase pump efficiency and run life.

摘要: A suction elevator with suction capability includes a handle having a first end and a second end. The first end of the handle includes a connector for attaching the surgical elevator to a suction source. An arm extends from the second end of the handle, the arm having a blade portion at the end opposite that which extends from the handle. A continuous bore runs through the connector, handle, and arm, ending where the blade defines an opening in fluid communication with the bore.

摘要: An aircraft latch mechanism has a latch body having a front end and a rear end and a longitudinal slot extending along a portion of the length of the body. A pair of first cam members flanks the latch body. A handle is pivotally attached to the first cam members. The first cam members are also attached to a pair of over-center links. A mounting bushing extends through the longitudinal slot at the pivot where the first cam members and over-center links attach. Movement of the handle causes a corresponding movement of the first cam members, over-center links, and the connecting structure extending through the slot.
