摘要: Provided is a low-loss mode scrambler in which a steady mode distribution can be obtained in a short distance and switch to an entire mode distribution state is easy even when incident light is smaller than a numerical aperture of a fiber to be measured in a multimode fiber having a core diameter exceeding several tens of μm and a numerical aperture of 0.2 or more. One fiber 2 is wound around a plurality of bobbins 3a and 3b having a radius larger than a minimum bending radius of the fiber to form a bundle, and the fiber 2 is twisted by rotating the bobbins 3a and 3b to form a twisted portion 5, whereby it is possible to perform output of a steady mode from light incident on the fiber 2.

摘要: Current measuring device keeps fluctuation range for the ratio error in output within ±0.5% range and simplified assembly thereof. The measuring device includes at least a light entrance and exit, optical fiber for a sensor, Faraday rotator, first and second ¼-wavelength plates, polarization separator, light source, and signal-processing-circuit including a photoelectric-conversion-element. Optical fiber for a sensor has birefringence and includes one end wherein two circularly polarized light-beams having different rotation enter directions and another end reflects circularly polarized light-beams entered. Phase difference of two linearly polarized light-beams in the round-trip light path between two ¼-wavelength plates is compensated, and the Faraday rotational angle when the Faraday rotator is magnetically saturated set to 22.5°+α° so fluctuation range for ratio error in measured value of the current to be measured is set in range, ±0.5%. The crystal-axes on optical faces of two ¼-wavelength plates are set to be perpendicular or same direction.

摘要: Provided is a multi-fiber optical connector which can be easily assembled by having a simple structure an provides high workability at the time of connection.Since a plate-shaped guide 2 adapted to move a fiber is provided on an end surface and a gap x is provided on a rear surface of the plate-shaped guide 2, achieved is a structure in which each of fibers 5 is mutually moved in an optical axis direction along a penetration hole h provided at the plate-shaped guide 2 at the time of connecting connectors. Consequently, the respective fibers 5 which can be elastically connected independently from each other can be collectively connected at the time of connecting the connectors, and furthermore, positioning accuracy between the respective fibers 5 can be improved when the connector is used as a multi-fiber optical connector 1.
