Abstract: A mobile machine such as a tractor has an engine and hydraulic supply system including a pump supply with a pump (MP) driven by the engine to provide a pressurized fluid at a pump supply pressure PSP. The hydraulic supply system has an electronic load sensing system (E-LS) to regulate the pump supply pressure. The E-LS is arranged to increase a stand-by pressure differential of the pump supply once the engine is determined to be running following start-up. This enables the hydraulic supply system to be configured with a reduced hydro-mechanically defined stand-by pressure differential so that it places a reduced load on the engine when it is started. The E-LS may be arranged to inhibit LS control of the pump supply when the engine is started, with LS functionality only commenced once the engine is running. Reduced load on the engine during start-up can improve cold starting.

Abstract: An agricultural harvester includes a crop processor for reducing crop material to processed crop, an unload conveyor for transferring a stream of processed crop out of the harvester, and a camera for capturing images of an area proximate the harvester and generating image data from the captured images. One or more computing devices are configured for receiving the image data from the camera, identifying, from the image data, a visual marker corresponding to a receiving vehicle, and determining, from the visual marker, a location of the receiving vehicle relative to the agricultural harvester. An electronic device presents, on a graphical user interface of the device, a graphical representation of the relative locations of the unload conveyor and at least a portion of the receiving vehicle, the graphical representation based on the location of the receiving vehicle relative to the agricultural harvester determined by the one or more computing devices.

Abstract: A grain cleaning system for a combine harvester having a transmitter adapted to transmit a base signal at a known frequency and one or more spaced receivers for detecting signals of a different frequency as reflected from airborne grain and other materials within the duct of the grain cleaning system. An Electronic Control Unit modulates the base signal and the reflected signals to obtain Doppler signals or frequencies from which an average particle velocity is determined. The particle velocity is used as an input parameter for the generation of control signals for the adjustment of various working units of the combine harvester including, by way of example, the fan and sieves.

Abstract: A control system for a mobile agricultural machine having a hydraulic supply system which includes electronic load sensing and headland control assistance is configured to predictively adjust the pump supply when a headland sequence is initiated. The pump supply may be increased irrespective of the reported hydraulic load at the time the headland sequence is initiated to meet a predicted hydraulic demand of the headland sequence. The control system may revert to a load-sensing-based control of the pump supply after a given time period or in dependence on a predefined operational parameter being met. A corresponding method of controlling a hydraulic system on an agricultural mobile machine is also disclosed.
