    摘要: An apparatus and method for vaporizing liquid are provided which employ a plurality of rods disposed within a storage vessel that serve as the heat transfer element. While the plurality of rods are generally submerged by the liquid fuel to facilitate heat transfer and vaporization of the liquid fuel, the rods may be packed closely together such that the liquid inventory required to maintain the rods in a submerged state is substantially less than required by conventional fuel supply systems, thereby permitting the weight of a fuel supply system that incorporates the apparatus and method to be reduced while still permitting effective vaporization of the fuel.

    摘要: A magnetic sector for a non-scanning mass spectrometer includes a high permeability yoke with opposing faces to which are attached high energy product magnets and shaped pole pieces separated by a gap so that a high magnetic flux exists in the gap. The high magnetic flux in the gap enables very small surface areas of the pole pices faces forming the gap so that the overall magetic sector volume and weight are reduced.

A surface spectroscopic system (18) is operational in conjuction with the hydrogen sensor (16) and determines contamination of the hydrogen sensor (16) and generates a sensor contamination signal. A controller (20) is electrically coupled to the hydrogen sensor (16) and the surface spectroscopic system (18) and compares the hydrogen contamination signal to the sensor contamination signal and generates a corrected hydrogen contamination signal.
