An Axminster pile fabric is woven with pile formation according to a three-shot weave, while one pile row is formed per two weft insertion cycles. Also, an Axminster pile fabric is provided, in which in successive weft lines, alternately one weft thread (1) alone and two weft threads (2), (3) one above the other are inwoven, and, in which pile threads (7) are interlaced by weft threads (1) alone according to a three-shot weave.

摘要： A shed-forming device for individually controlling heddles for warp threads of a weaving device has hook elements connected to the heddles for the warp threads. Upward and downward moving knives are provided to which the hook elements can hook onto. The hook elements are provided with spring elements and actuators connected to the spring elements allow the hook elements to selectively hook or not hook onto the upward and downward moving knives. Each hook element also has at least three spring elements in the form of spring legs. At least two spring elements are made as double laminated springs. At least two of the spring legs are provided with hooks for working together with the moving knives. One or more actuators are provided which selectively influence the various spring elements. Retaining hooks are provided for at least a part of the spring elements in a position determined by an actuator.

Especially with pile fabrics with high frame count because of this it is avoided that with a color transition in weft direction the pile loops are spread apart from each other by interjacent inwoven pile warp yarns.

The control elements (20), (21) are positioned one below the other, and only one lifter element (6) is required. It may also be formed as a device without a pulley. Because the positions of the selection body are stable, their position may be changed by a single temporal influence by the actuator making the device energy efficient.

Loop weft yarns (12A), (12B) are provided outside the backing fabric, and loop warp yarns (1), (2), (3) are so provided that they are alternately inwoven in the backing fabric and form a pile loop (13), (14) over at least one loop weft yarn (12A), (12B), and the loop weft yarns (12A), (12B) are subsequently removed. By providing first (12A) and second loop weft yarns (12B) with a different thickness, pile loops (13), (14) of different height are formed. To obtain a fabric in which both pile loops (13) and cut pile (15) occur subsequently a top part can be removed from a number of pile loops (13). In areas (19) where no pile loops are formed effect backing weft yarns (11B) with laterally protruding filaments can be inwoven in the backing fabric. A loop pile fabric can be manufactured according to this method.

摘要： Shed forming device for a textile machine having at least one upwardly and downwardly moving shed forming mechanism. An actuator is connected to a movable holding element for moving the element to a holding position and a non-holding position. In the holding position the element holds the shed forming device at a fixed height. A stop is connected to the element for supporting the holding element when it is in the holding position. Because of this the holding element is held on the stop by the shed forming mechanism. Thus, the contact pressure between the shed forming means and the holding element is produced by the hook load itself allowing for a support for the holding element to remain unstressed.
