摘要： The invention relates to a dual-recognition immunoassay for the detection of antibodies specific to a target antigen in a sample which comprises contacting said target antigen with a sample suspected of containing said antibodies specific to said target antigen under conditions allowing the formation of an antigen-antibody complex; adding a conjugate comprising said target antigen and a marker under conditions allowing the formation of an antigen-antibody-antigen/marker complex; and detecting said antigen-antibody-antigen/marker complex. The immunoassay can be used, among other applications, in the diagnosis of infections caused by pathogenic organisms with high sensitivity and specificity.
