Abstract: A ballistic hand protector and methods of use are provided. The ballistic hand protector includes a ballistic pad having a hand surface adjacent to the back of a user's hand and an outer surface. A wrist strap wraps around the user's wrist and the ballistic pad, and a hand strap wraps around the user's palm and the ballistic pad. The wrist strap and hand strap are held in place on the ballistic pad by at least one wrist strap loop and one hand strap loop attached to the outer surface of the ballistic pad.

Abstract: A neck protector including a soft armor neck panel with an inner surface, an outer surface and an edge disposed between the inner surface and the outer surface. At least one tab is attached to the soft armor neck panel at a proximal end of the tab. A first half of a removable fastener is disposed on a distal end of the tab and configured to secure to a second half of the removable fastener that is disposed within a helmet. The soft armor neck panel may be shaped to curve around a user's neck.

Abstract: A ballistic resistant garment quick release system may include an outer shell configured to form a pocket into which ballistic resistant material is positioned. A cable channel is positioned along at least a portion of the ballistic resistant garment and a release cable is positioned within the cable channel. The release cable may move from a first position to a second position wherein the release cable is configured in the first position to engage a removable attachment strap and retain the removable attachment strap to the ballistic resistant garment and the release cable is configured in the second position to disengage from the removable attachment strap and thereby enable the removable attachment strap to disengage from the ballistic resistant garment. A fixed attachment strap is attached to the ballistic resistant garment and configured to mate with the removable attachment strap to retain the ballistic resistant garment on the user.

Abstract: In one aspect, a ballistic resistant garment includes a front component having a front outer shell a rear component having a rear outer shell, each outer shell including a pair of shoulder extensions. Each front shoulder extension includes a first half of a releasable connector and each rear shoulder extension includes a second half of the releasable connector. A release cable is positioned on the front component. In a first position the release cable maintains engagement between the first half of the releasable connector and the second half of the releasable connector to connect the pair of front shoulder extensions with the pair of rear shoulder extensions to form a neck opening. In a second position, the release cable disengage from the releasable connector to enable the pair of front shoulder extensions to disconnect from the pair of rear shoulder extensions.
