摘要: A user may easily read, browse, and jump through the messages contained within a thread. Different portions of the message may be highlighted such that they are easily identifiable. The user may easily navigate through the thread by selecting a user interface element, such as an arrow button, to move to the next or previous message within the thread. The order of the thread may also be reversed such that the user may view the thread from the first message to the last message, or view the thread from the last message to the first message. The messages within the thread may be marked, such as by using XML tags, in order to facilitate the identification of the sections of the messages within the thread.

摘要: An improved reading mode for electronic documents is provided. An electronic document is displayed in one or more discrete pages to provide a “look and feel” of reading a physical book or other document. Page turning controls are provided on each displayed page for turning a single page or for rapidly turning numerous pages. A page may be pinned so that the pinned page remains displayed while an adjacently displayed page is turned. Reading pointer controls and reading underlines may be deployed adjacent to and under selected text, respectively, for providing helpful reading reference points. Bookmarks may be deployed adjacent to text or images of interest in one or more pages of a displayed electronic document.
