Abstract: Security features a situational awareness system using location tracking information including requiring a security identifier, such as a password or a bio identifier, as a condition to providing situational awareness information. The system may also restrict situational awareness information to data pertaining to members that have creating a permission setting or responded to an “opt-in” prompt authorizing data from their profile to be included in the situational awareness information. Situational awareness information may also be denied to requesters identified as public offenders in a public offender database. Situational awareness information may also be restricted by access rules specified in a security rule base, such as rules related to enrollment and rules related to the age of the requester and the age of a demographic profile of interest identified in the situational awareness request.

Abstract: A system for building topical interest profiles for members of a situational awareness system using location tracking information. Members who participate in the system activate location tracking on their mobile communication devices and provide the system with real-time access to the location tracking data. The situational awareness system analyzes a member's location tracking data, detects potential topics of interest for the member based on the location tracking data, and then prompts the member to update their profile data to include the detects potential topics of interest. If the member adds a suggested topic to their profile, the situational awareness system includes the member in situational awareness information provided to requesters seeking information concerning members interested in the added topic. The situational awareness system may also direct online queries to the member relating to the added topic and increase the member's priority for participating in online queries.

Abstract: A situational awareness system providing geographic, personal characteristic and subject matter of interest awareness using information obtained from location reporting mobile devices. The system displays personal characteristic information for target member segments defined with a great deal of specificity, which may be followed by online queries to the target member segment. Member participation in online queries may require interested members to “opt-in” to limit query distribution to members that have indicated an interest in responding to online queries on the particular subject matter of interest. This increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the online queries, while reducing the cost and imposition on members who are not be interested in participating. Obtaining geographic, personal characteristic, and subject matter of interest awareness can be a free component provided as a benefit to registered members and customers, configured to occur prior to the payment screen required for online query distribution.

Abstract: A situational awareness and dynamic interrogation system provides a requester communication device with demographic statistics, such as age and gender or subject matter of interest demographic data, obtained from user profile data associated with participating mobile communication devices located in a geographical area of interest. The requester communication device may then specify an electronic interrogation message comprising a target demographic objective. The direct response controller sends the electronic interrogation message to all or a portion of those mobile communication devices in the geographic area of interest. The direct response controller uses a dynamic interrogation algorithm and location tracking data to produce electronic interrogation results that automatically meet the specified target demographic objective. Response fees may be paid to accounts associated with the responding mobile communications devices, and a query fee may be paid to an account associated with the requester communication device.
