Abstract: An adapter for hanging a clothes hanger or other display device from a ceiling or other mounting location includes a top plate on which are mounted magnets. A neck is connected to the top plate and a channel portion is connected to the neck. An opening is formed in the neck of a size and shape to accept a hook of a clothes hanger. The opening may be shaped to permit a loop end of the hanger hook to pass only when the adapter and hanger are aligned with one another.
