摘要： A tyre tread compacting apparatus includes a carrier for carrying a part of a tyre to be disposed of, the carrier having a pair of opposed sides. A mounting arrangement is arranged on a first side of the carrier for mounting on a support formation. A coiling mechanism is arranged on an opposed, second side of the carrier for coiling the part of a tyre to be disposed of into a compacted form. A tyre coiling tool is provided to be arranged in juxtaposition to the carrier to provide mechanical advantage to assist in coiling the part of the tyre about the coiling mechanism.
