A mode determination unit 31 counts the number of ACK packets or NACK packets received by a unit time X by an ACK/NACK packet receiver 14. When the counted number of NACK packets is larger than a predetermined value Y, the mode determination unit 31 switches the operation mode of the packet compressor 12 to the reliable mode. When the counted number of ACK packets is larger than a predetermined value Z, the mode determination unit 31 switches the operation mode of the packet compressor 12 to the optimistic mode.

    摘要: A wireless communication system comprises: a wireless base station that uses dedicated frequencies to communicate with only connected LTE-A terminals and uses shared frequencies to communicate with LTE terminals and LTE-A terminals; and an LTE-A terminal. The wireless base station comprises: a priority information creating section for setting a priority of each of the shared frequencies for idle LTE-A terminals, setting a priority of each of the plurality of frequencies for connected LTE-A terminals, and creating priority information indicative of the set priority; a system information creating section for creating system information that includes the priority information; and a transmission section for transmitting the system information. The LTE-A terminal receives system information transmitted from the wireless base station, and selects a frequency on which the LTE-A terminal camps and a frequency at which the LTE-A terminal transmits an RACH preamble based on the priority information included in the system information. In this way, the LTE-A terminal can be connected to an appropriate carrier.

The on-period determining section (106) determines a subframe at the beginning of a first on-period within a DRX period by matching it with the subframe during which a CQI report is performed, determines the subframe apart by an integral multiple of the DRX cycle from the determined subframe at the beginning of the first on-period as the subframe at the beginning of the first on-period, and determines the subframes within the first on-period including each sub frame at the beginning of the first on-period as those in an on-period state. The DRX/DTX control section (108) controls the DRX of a receiving section (101) and the DTX of a transmitting section (109) according to the subframe in an on-period state inputted from the on-period determining section (106).

In the portable telephone, a camera section (101) images an object displayed on a display section (108). An autofocus region selection section (104) has a group of pressing switches that are of the same number as the number of autofocus regions, and the pressing switches are in one-to-one correspondence with the autofocus regions. The autofocus region selection section (104) selects the autofocus region in which the number that is same as the number of a pressed switch is displayed. An autofocus section (105) focuses on an object displayed in the selected autofocus region. The display section (108) displays preview images divided into the autofocus regions and displays different numbers for each of the autofocus regions.

The buffer monitoring section 208 monitors an amount of media data stored in the media reception buffer 209 and when the amount of media data stored exceeds a threshold, the buffer monitoring section 208 notifies it to the transmission rate decision section 207. When information on the radio channel transmission rate from the radio control section 205 shows that the radio channel transmission rate is well within the capacity and when monitoring information from the buffer monitoring section 208 shows that the amount of data stored in the media reception buffer 209 does not exceed a threshold, the transmission rate decision section 207 outputs a request for increasing the transmission rate of the media data to the control signal transmission/reception section 206. Thus, even if the maximum rate of the radio channel transmission rate that can be set up decreases due to deterioration of a communication environment, it is possible to prevent data play back from being interrupted.
