摘要: The systems and methods described herein provide a means for obtaining an accurate localization of static/mobile portable devices with respect to static/mobile infrastructure. A real-world environment presents unique challenges when localizing a given portable tag. Measurement of various geometric properties such as distance and/or angle to given infrastructure sensor is often erroneous due to process phasing of main paths and superimposition with various multipath reflected signals. These errors are not known beforehand and vary per environmental conditions. Therefore, performing localization in such scenarios is non-trivial. The systems and methods described herein will highlight several methods and possible algorithm process flows to improve performance.

摘要: A system, method and apparatus for mobile communications including sidelink transmissions is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives one or more messages comprising configuration parameters of reference signals associated with a plurality of uplink beams and a first downlink beam. The UE identifies a plurality of uplink beams associated with the first downlink beam based on a measurement of the reference signals and a corresponding ranking associated with each of the plurality of uplink beams. The UE determines a first plurality of uplink beams that satisfy maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limits and that are not subject to link failure. The UE then transmits uplink data or control information using the first uplink beam with the highest ranking.

The method includes receiving a data and/or control signalling segment in a fixed reference beam. The method includes, whilst doing so, initiating a beam sweep in a candidate beam set, whereby part of the data and/or control signalling segment is received in each of the beams in the candidate beam set. The method includes then evaluating, based on the part of the data and/or control signalling segment received in each of the beams in the candidate beam set and using restored symbols of the data and/or control signalling segment received in the fixed reference beam as reference, a quality metric for each of the beams in the candidate beam set.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for channel detection in an uplink shared control channel. In an exemplary embodiment, a method includes generating soft-combined bit streams for an acknowledgement (ACK) indicator, rank indicator (RI), and channel quality indicator (CQI) received in an uplink shared channel. The method also includes decoding the ACK, RI, and CQI soft-combined bit streams to generate Top-M decoded bit streams for each indicator, and generating Top-Q symbols for each indicator from the Top-M decoded bit streams for each indicator. The method also includes calculating metrics from the Top-Q symbols and uplink control information (UCI) symbols extracted from the uplink shared channel, combining the metrics to form a search space, and searching the search space to determine transmitted ACK, RI, and CQI bits.

The user equipment can send an uplink grant request message using a predefined dedicated random access channel preamble while in the radio resource control connected state. The user equipment can receive an uplink grant from the base station. The user equipment can transmit a radio resource control message in response to receiving the uplink grant.

摘要: A system and method for characterizing an interference demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a piece of user equipment (UE), e.g., a mobile device. The UE determines whether the serving signal is transmitted in a DMRS-based transmission mode; if it is, the UE cancels the serving DMRS from the received signal; otherwise the UE cancels the serving data signal from the received signal. The remaining signal is then analyzed for the amount of power it has in each of four interference DMRS candidates, and hypothesis testing is performed to determine whether interference DMRS is present in the signal, and, if so, to determine the rank of the interference DMRS, and the port and scrambling identity of each of the interference DMRS layers.
