摘要： An end piece for use with a flush fitting strip bumper. The assembly protects, for example, a table or other substrate on which it is mounted. The end piece includes a shell having stepped sections arranged to engage a resilient strip and a mounting member, and a rigid clip having two spaced apart vertical portions one of which terminates in a projection including a series of teeth arranged to extend into the resilient strip.

摘要： This invention pertains to the discovery that fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2) stimulates neurogenesis, induces migration of newborn cells into the striatum and cortex, is neuroprotective, and significantly extends the lifespan mammals suffering from neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, etc.). In certain embodiments this invention provides a method of promoting neurogenesis, neuroprotection and/or survival in a mammal having a neurodegenerative disease by upregulating expression or availability of endogenous fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2) in said mammal; and/or administering FGF2 or an FGF2 mutein to the mammal in an amount sufficient to promote neurogenesis, neuroprotection and/or survival of the mammal.

摘要： A shelving bracket for supporting an end of a shelf is adapted to be attachable at any location along the length of a heightwise extending pole. The bracket is adapted to bear against a side face of a pole and includes at least two guide surfaces engageable with front and rear faces of the pole to define the angle of orientation of the bracket and to maintain the bracket at that angle. The bracket is secured rigidly to the pole by a fastener. A second pole is provided with a similar shelf bracket. Each of the shelf brackets has a shelf-supporting ledge adapted to support an end of a shelf that spans between the poles.

摘要： The invention features a flexible protective strip having one or more longtitudinally extending inserts which provide the protective strip with greater impact resistance, greater strength and an improved locking action in the mounting member. The resilient strip preferably includes a pair of oppositely disposed, inwardly extending latch members which include inserts to provide the improved locking action. The mounting member preferably includes a web portion having a pair of oppositely disposed web-latch extensions extending across a chord of the body, substantially parallel to a tangent to the circumference of the body at its mid-line, and at least one leg member extending from the web portion away from the body.
