The lint collecting device includes a lint screen held horizontally in a lint collecting zone formed in an air duct within the dryer cabinet and a viewing window is provided in the air duct and the dryer cabinet to render a portion of the lint screen visible from the exterior of the cabinet. A light source may be provided for illuminating a portion of the lint screen.

摘要： A dispenser for a granular wash additive is provided which comprises a reservoir for receiving the additive and has a liquid inlet and a narrow slot-like opening for dispensing the additive. A tunnel member or chute is provided in the liquid flow path between the inlet and outlet, which is to be covered by the additive so that a portion of the inlet liquid will be directed below and within the pile of additive to effect a complete dispensing of the additive. An insert is provided for dispensing liquid additive from the same dispenser.

摘要： A washing machine recirculation and draining system including two bottom drains in a wash tub, the drains connected by a tubing manifold having a reversible pump. A two-way valve opens one drain and closes a drain line during recirculation; the pump rotating in a first direction to pump wash water through a recirculation line. For draining, a second two-way valve opens the second drain and the first two-way valve closes the first drain and opens the drain line; the pump rotates in a second direction to drain the tub out through the drain line.

摘要： A hose receiving member constructed as a unitary plastic article is specifically adapted to connect an anti-kink corrugated plastic hose to an appliance such as an automatic washer in either a standpipe installation or a laundry tub installation when used with a metal or plastic hose guide member. The plastic hose guide member connects to an outlet pipe of the member near an upper end thereof adjacent an end of the corrugated hose. This guide member has a curvilinear upper surface which curves from a vertical orientation adjacent the end of the hose connection fitting through an arc of at least 180.degree. in a plane including an axis of the outlet pipe. A planar rib maintains the surface in its desired shape. Two retaining ties on the guide member grasp the hose, clamping it to the curvilinear surface, one tie being used to bend the hose approximately 90.degree. and both used for a bend of approximately 180.degree.. The metal hose guide member comprises an "S"-shaped member with a raised center portion between co-planar ends which are hooked to capture spaced-apart portions of the corrugated hose.
