    摘要: MacPherson-type strut in combination with a rolling lobe air spring assembly for vehicle suspension. This air spring assembly comprises a tubular rubber boot fixed at its upper end to a retainer cap removably mounted on the strut piston rod. The lower end of the boot is fixed to a retainer sleeve which is removably mounted on the reservoir tube of the strut. The outer periphery of the retainer sleeve is profiled to present a variable diameter surface for the air spring and cooperates therewith to provide a variable rate spring. This air spring assembly may be easily replaced by another assembly for service or for changing the spring rate of the suspension.
