Each marking engine includes a dual replenisher assembly having first and second reservoirs containing respective toners of different gloss levels. The reservoirs each include one or more augers separately and independently controlled for dispensing the respective toners into a developer to continuously vary the gloss level of the toner in the developer.

Coated phosphorescent pigments are provided which may be utilized in toner compositions. In embodiments, the phosphorescent pigment may be coated by a powder coating process. The large pigment particles may be dry blended with dried resin latex particles, thereby coating the pigment surface, followed by heating and shearing in a rotary kiln or extruder to melt the toner resin and fuse it to the pigment surface. The resulting coated particles may be utilized with other toners, in embodiments color toners, to provide phosphorescent images.

Toner particles are provided which may, in embodiments, include an additive package possessing both a silica that has been treated with polydimethyl siloxane and a titanium dioxide that has been subjected to a fluorine treatment. The silica that has been treated with polydimethyl siloxane has low levels of free polydimethyl siloxane. The combined additives provide toners with excellent charging characteristics and good blocking performance.
