摘要： A locking mechanism for securing a cover to a housing is provided. The housing includes an electrical socket. The mechanism includes a locking plate, a casing for enclosing the locking plate, and an engaging member. The locking plate has a securing member and a protruding member. The engaging member extends from the cover. When the locking plate is in a first position, the securing member is engaged with the engaging member to secure the cover to the housing. When the locking plate is in a second position, the securing member is disengaged from the engaging member and the protruding member is extended into the electrical socket.

摘要： An apparatus for a capacitive feed planar inverted-F (PIFA) multi-band antenna is provided. The antenna structure of the present invention typically comprises of a ground element, a main radiating element, having predefined slits and arranged above the ground element, and a capacitive feed element. The capacitive feed element is electrically connected to an antenna feed and is detached from the main radiating and ground elements. By having additional secondary elements, the bandwidth or the number of resonant frequencies of the antenna can be increased without increasing the overall dimensions of the antenna.

摘要： A computing device with an expansion module that may be removed and replaced in an expansion slot is disclosed. The computing device includes computer circuitry to which the expansion module may be electrically connected by means of electrical connectors. The expansion module is coupled to a removable portion of the housing so that when said portion is swung open with assistance of mechanical force, the expansion module is simultaneously disengaged from the computer circuitry. Thereafter, the expansion module can be further removed from said portion.

摘要： A computing device having a casing, a printed circuit board (PCB) and a card receptacle moveably supported by the casing for covering an orifice in the casing is disclosed. The card receptacle is spaced apart from the PCB in a closed position of the card receptacle to define a cavity therebetween. The card receptacle supports a connector that is connected to an electronic circuitry on the PCB. The card receptacle can be moved to at least one open position away from the orifice for receiving an electronic card and for allowing an additional module of the computing device to be inserted into the cavity for connection to the PCB.
