摘要： Pentachloronitrobenzene (PCNB) is purified by using a liquid-liquid extraction process with polar and nonpolar solvents to remove hexachlorobenzene (HCB). A variety of procedures, solvents and equipment may be employed to carry out the process. A process using a multiplate countercurrent liquid solvent extraction unit, and using DMF and octane as solvents for PCNB and HCB, respectively, is preferred.
