Abstract: A method to facilitate programming of multimodal access. The method can include receiving a user input request to voice-enable at least one graphical user interface (GUI) component defined in visual markup code, receiving a user input selecting at least one voice component, and a user input specifying a selected grammar syntax. Responsive to the user inputs, voice markup code corresponding to the selected voice component can be automatically generated and the voice markup code can be automatically linked to the GUI component.
