摘要： A method and a structure for dividing a door opening such as a conventional garage door opening and allowing for easy installation of both a side mounted swinging door and an overhead type door. A main post is used for both supporting one of the tracks of the overhead door and acting as part of the frame of the swinging door. The post as a specific cross-sectional configuration allowing it to serve its dual purpose. A threshold component is provided for acting both as a threshold for the swinging door and as an anchor for the lower end of the main post. Similarly, a header component is provided for acting both as a header for the swinging door and as an anchor for the upper end of the main post.
