    摘要: An electronic terminal includes a USB antenna interface circuit and a broadcast receiver circuit. The USB antenna interface circuit is configured to be electrically connected to at least one conductive element of a USB cable that serves as an antenna for receiving a broadcast RF signal from a remote broadcast transmitter, and is configured to extract the broadcast RF signal from a RF signal present in the at least one conductive element of the USB cable. The broadcast receiver circuit is electrically connected to the USB antenna interface circuit to receive the extracted broadcast RF signal and configured to tune to a defined station signal carried by the extracted broadcast RF signal.

The antenna unit (500, 600) may include at least two antenna elements (510B, 510C) forming a television antenna (600) arranged in a cable adapted for detachably connecting an auxiliary device (500) to the portable device (10). The at least two antenna elements form a dipole antenna that provides good properties over a known frequency range without requiring any additional circuitry or signal processing for the device (10) and without requiring or occupying any space within the device (10).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a portable communication device arrangement comprising a main unit and an auxiliary unit. The main unit includes an electrical interface to an auxiliary unit, a ground plane dimensioned for antenna operation at a multiple of a quarter of a wavelength of a desired frequency, and a radio communication unit connected to the ground plane and to the electrical interface. The auxiliary unit comprises at least one electrical conductor to be connected to the electrical interface and including a first radio frequency trap, where the distance between the first radio frequency trap and an end of the conductor that is to be connected to the electrical interface corresponds to an odd multiple of a quarter of a wavelength of the desired frequency. The invention provides a good antenna through reuse of elements already provided in relation to a portable communication device.

    摘要: Electronic devices and wireless communication terminals include a unitary circuit board on which a radio-frequency (RF) antenna and a microphone are attached. The RF antenna includes a radiating plane and a ground plane. A feed line on the circuit board is connected to the radiating plane, and a ground line on the circuit board is connected to the ground plane. The microphone and the RF antenna are spaced apart on the circuit board by a distance of less than a half wavelength of a resonant frequency of the radiating plane. The microphone generates a microphone signal through a pair of microphone lines on the circuit board.
