摘要： It is an object of the present invention to provide techniques which allow for lower power consumption of electronic shelf labels. In order to attain the object, electronic shelf labels according to the present invention are located to respectively correspond to products, and each of the electronic shelf labels displays product data of its corresponding product. Each of the electronic shelf labels repeatedly performs “sleep operations” in which predetermined functions are stopped for a predetermined time period, at given time intervals, and the predetermined time period is extended when non-receipt of data continues for a specified time period.

摘要： A data recording device is provided in which FAT and directory data, which are file managing information, are protected, whereby, during a restart, the FAT and directory data can be restored to a state that was in effect directly before a file update or another file operation even when a power source is interrupted during the file operation. The data recording device comprises CompactFlash and SRAM, wherein the files are managed by a FAT file system. The CompactFlash records file data of a file, a FAT, and directory data. The SRAM is provided with a backup region. The FAT and directory data are backed up to the backup region before the FAT and directory data are updated.
