摘要： A fishing reel that includes an eddy current brake mechanism that applies a braking force to the spool of the reel when the speed or acceleration of the spool, as detected electrically, reaches a predetermined value. The reel further includes electrical means for detecting, calculating and comparing rotation of the spool to a predetermined value whereupon a magnetic brake slows the spool to prevent backlash.
