摘要:
A mobile appliance and a method of using a mobile appliance are disclosed. The mobile appliance may include a microprocessor, a data entry device, a monitor, a candidate selection device, and software having instructions for controlling the microprocessor. A series of characters are provided to the appliance, and the series of characters is used to both indicate a function and indicate information for that function.
摘要:
The extraction of natural products from material of biological origin is enhanced and accelerated by concurrent contact with extractant medium and exposure to microwave radiation. Normally the extractant medium is selected to be transparent to the microwave and to remain at ambient temperature: however, if some heating of the medium is permissible it may be partially transparent. Sufficient extractant medium should be present to effect the desired extraction. The extraction products are recovered by standard procedures. Materials used for extraction include mint, sea parsley, cedar foilage and garlic. Extractants may be for instance hexane, dichloromethane or ethanol. Extractions may be in two or more stages with different extractants used in each stage. Some of these extraction products are found to be novel, and quite distinct from steam distillation products.

Appliances, methods and devices are disclosed in which a first selection corresponding to symbols is used to identify a non-information function. An object corresponding to the non-information function may be provided and selected to indicate a user's desire to execute tasks of the function. Upon receiving the user's selection, the function may be executed.
摘要:
The invention describes DNA copy number alterations (CNAs), identifiable by technologies such as array-based comparative genomic hybridization (array CGH) or fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), that define distinct genetic subtypes of prostate cancer, and are useful for improved prognostication and treatment stratification for patients with prostate cancer.
摘要:
Devices and methods of displaying a telephone number are disclosed. The telephone number may be displayed in a manner that is likely to be helpful to the user of an appliance, such as a cell phone or personal digital assistant.

摘要:
A decryption device, comprising a substrate, a plurality of encrypted information symbols located within a rectangular array of further symbols carried by the substrate, wherein the array is arranged in a predetermined number of rows by a further predetermined number of columns. A pair of registration marks are carried by the substrate and located on opposite sides of a predetermined one of the rows. An overlay is adapted for covering the rectangular array, and includes a first pair of apertures arranged to uncover the pair of registration marks, and a plurality of further apertures arranged to uncover the plurality of encrypted information symbols responsive to the first pair of apertures uncovering the pair of registration marks.
