Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of a dinQ-sRNA type I toxin-antitoxin systems for plasmid maintenance. An embodiment of the present invention relates to the use of the dinQ-sRNA type I toxin-antitoxin system for the manufacture of a plasmid selection system. In another embodiment of the present invention is the sRNA selected from the group consisting of agrA and agrB. Aspects of the present invention also relates to medical uses of the plasmid selection system.
Abstract:
An automatic banking machine includes a card reader for reading user cards, and a cash dispenser. A movable camera is positionable within the ATM housing. The automated banking machine carries out transactions related to user accounts based on information read from cards. Service personnel are enabled to direct the camera toward regions of machine components while conducting service activities that are not directly visible by a servicer. A camera assembly includes a microphone to sense sounds associated with machine components during test operations. The generated data may be used by an on-site servicer, or sent to an entity at a remote location. The visual images may be used to enhance diagnostic and servicing capabilities.
Abstract:
Dynamically generating a schema representing multiple hierarchies of inter-object relationships is described. In one aspect, a data polyarchy is created. Responsive to creation of the data polyarchy, a schema is automatically generated to represent multiple hierarchies of inter-object relationships between multiple objects in the data polyarchy. The schema is generated based on values of attributes of the objects.
Abstract:
A method and computer program product for selecting a secret value from a plurality of secret values, thus defining a chosen secret value. The chosen secret value is combined with a data value to generate a primary hybrid data value. The primary hybrid data value is processed to generate a processed primary hybrid data value, which is provided to a secondary device for authentication.
Abstract:
A power system (100) includes power conversion apparatus (110) coupled to load apparatus (120) having at least one load circuit (122,124). The power conversion apparatus includes: a first input (102) for receiving an AC signal; a second input (104) for receiving a DC signal; and a first number of power supply circuits (112) each including an AC conversion circuit (210, 240, 250) for generating an output signal based on the AC signal; a revert circuit (270) coupled to the AC conversion circuit for generating the output signal based on the DC signal, the revert circuit including a battery charger (274), wherein each of the battery chargers is coupled in common at the second input and is configured with a corresponding predetermined capacity that causes at least a portion of the DC signal to be provided by at least a portion of the battery chargers.
Abstract:
Methods are provided for purification of Factor VIII polypeptides by affinity chromatography and ion exchange chromatography, in which the eluate from the affinity column is diluted with a solution comprising higher salt concentration, or lower non-polar agent concentration than that of the elution solution, prior to passing the diluted solution through the ion exchange column. The affinity matrix may comprise a monoclonal antibody or a peptide ligand. The methods result in improved purification without significant yield loss.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for dynamically generating a schema representing multiple hierarchies of inter-object relationships are described. In one aspect, a polyarchical query language data structure includes first, second, and third data fields. The first data field is used to specify a particular schema for presenting or managing a plurality of objects in a data polyarchy based on values of attributes in the objects. The second data field is to indicate an attribute of interest. The third data field indicates how one or more objects that include the attribute of interest are to be presented or managed with respect to one or more participating dimensions of inter-object relationships based on the schema.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for extending a directory schema independent of schema modification are described. In one aspect, a directory schema data structure includes a flexible attribute data field. The flexible attribute data field identifies a complex data type. The complex data type is used to express one or more operational or data providing properties of a flexible attribute. The one or more operational or data providing properties are independent of the complex data type and independent of directory schema modification. The directory schema data structure also includes a flexible structural object content class to encapsulate the flexible attribute.
Abstract:
Subject matter includes a password management system in which a web application obtains a list of accounts associated with a given user from an identity integration system connected to diverse data sources and in which a password can be updated in each data source, even when the identity integration system does not natively communicate with a data source.
