摘要： A mop having a container housing cleaning liquid attached to the mop handle and a new and improved actuation mechanism which employs the use of atmosphere and pneumatics to cause power transmission from the grip area of the mop handle to the fluid actuation area. A mechanism for transmitting discharge power generated by a pump action motion of the handle, similar to loading a shotgun, through the interior of the handle to an actuation diaphragm which causes a valve closing mechanism to open by a vacuum generated from the pump action mechanism, to permit the fluid to be discharged from its container through a nozzle located at the lower portion of the diaphragm while at the same time causing an equal amount of air to fill the fluid container to thereby assure a smooth and even spray of liquid through the nozzle.

摘要： A phonograph record cleaner having a pair of soft pile covered projections extending downwardly from a cleaner body with a still brush and a soft brush also extending downwardly between the projections. During cleaning of a record, the cleaner is oriented so that the stiffer brush precedes the softer brush, and the pile covered projections properly locate the ends of the brush bristles relative to the record surface. The stiffer bristles are longer than the softer bristles, while the softer bristles of the shorter length are more densely packed than the stiffer bristles. Indicia on the cleaner body allows the cleaner to be hand held and properly oriented during use. Both of the brushes project downwardly through openings in a hollow lower member of the cleaner body and have retainers that limit the downward movement through the openings. An upper member of the cleaner body is snap connected to the lower member as is a retaining member which engages the brushes to limit their upward movement within the openings so as to properly position the brushes. During periods of nonuse, a receptacle mounts the cleaner body with the projections and brushes received within an upwardly opening depression of the receptacle. A cleaning fluid body and an applicator brush are mounted on an end of the receptacle and utilized to apply cleaning fluid to the pile covered projections in order to help in removing static electricity from the record during the cleaning.

摘要： A magnetic tape sensing head demagnetizer disclosed has a housing with a hollow handle portion and a clear plastic probe portion projecting outwardly from the handle portion. A coil within the handle portion receives the inner end of a core which has an outer probe end that is received by the probe portion to protect it during demagnetizing of a tape sensing head as an AC voltage provides a pulsating flux to the core. A bulb received within the handle portion of the housing shines light through the probe portion thereof to provide illumination during the demagnetizing. Closing of a normally open switch energizes the coil with the AC voltage and concomitantly applies a portion of the voltage across the coil to the bulb to provide the illumination. An inner end of the probe portion is mounted by the handle portion with the probe end of the core located adjacent one lateral side edge of the probe portion and the bulb located adjacent the other side edge in a construction that gives the probe portion good light gathering and transmitting characteristics. Intensification of the transmitted light is achieved by tapering of the probe portion side edges toward each other in a direction toward the distal end of the probe portion. The handle portion of the housing has tapering side walls connected by a flat wall and a curved wall, all of which cooperate to facilitate handling of the demagnetizer and operation of the switch whose actuating button projects outwardly from the flat wall.
