    摘要: A light guide plate includes an incident face, a bottom surface, a main reflective structure and an auxiliary reflective structure. The bottom surface is connected to the incident face. The main reflective structure is disposed on the bottom surface and has a first and a second inclined surface. The auxiliary reflective structure is disposed on the bottom surface and has a third and a fourth inclined surface. The auxiliary reflective structure and the main reflective structure have an interval therebetween, in which the interval ranges between 0.2 micrometer and 0.5 micrometer, and a bottom width of the auxiliary reflective structure on the bottom surface is smaller than a bottom width of the main reflective structure on the bottom surface. A liquid crystal display is also disclosed herein.

    摘要: A light guide plate structure, for use with a back light module of a liquid crystal display, has a top surface, a bottom surface, a first end portion, a second end portion which is opposite the first end portion, and a plurality of substantially paralleled V-shape grooves formed on the bottom surface and extending from the first end portion to the second end portion. Each of said V-shape grooves comprises a top angle with a continuous variation from the first end portion to the second end portion. The present invention gets rid of the dark areas of an LCD that appear adjacent to one of the end portions in conventional models, thus enhancing the uniformity in its brightness levels.

    摘要: A light guide plate having a V-cut structure and a backlight module are disclosed. The light guide plate comprises straight-striped V-cut structure sets and a base plate having a light-entering side. The straight-striped V-cut structure sets are formed on a surface of the base plate adjacent to the light-entering side, wherein each straight-striped V-cut structure set is composed of at least one V-cut element, each V-cut element having a first base angle and a second base angle formed between its respective two inclined surfaces and a horizontal surface of the base plate. The first base angle is located closer to the light-entering side than the second base angle is, and is smaller than or equal to the second base angle. The straight-striped V-cut structure sets have a plurality of second average angle values which are gradually decreased from the light-entering side to a central position of the base plate.

    摘要: A diffuser used in a backlight module including a plurality of light sources is disclosed. The diffuser according to the present invention makes a uniform light output. The diffuser includes a transparent substrate and a plurality of optical structures. The transparent substrate has an entrance surface and an exit surface. The plurality of optical structures is disposed on the exit surface, each optical structure is dented from the exit surface to the interior of the transparent substrate and forms a refractive convex within the transparent substrate, and each refractive convex corresponds to one of the plurality of the light sources. The maximum value of the included angle between the tangent to the refractive convex edge and the normal to the exit surface is smaller than 30 degrees, such that an incident light ray from the light sources refracts and deviates from the normal to the refractive convex through the refractive convex.
