    摘要: A device for controlling access to a firearm having a muzzle with a muzzle device. The device includes a lock housing with a cavity to receive the muzzle device. A plurality of tabs are arranged on the arms for engagement with the muzzle device to retain the muzzle device within the lock housing.

The device includes a plurality of components that cooperatively ensure that any form of tampering is resisted so that the firearm remains secure. The device includes a lock housing and a lock foundation, wherein the lock housing is arranged to receive a key. The cylinder and shaft are removably attachable to the lock foundation. The cylinder-shaft combination is arranged for insertion into the muzzle. A gear engaged with the shaft causes movement of the shaft into the cylinder. A collet includes one or more radially displaceable tabs arranged for insertion in slots of the cylinder when the shaft moves through the collet into the cylinder.

    摘要: A firearm-securing device providing tamper resistance features which device includes a keyway that operates a threaded rod which, in turn, controls spring-loaded cams that obstruct a tubular area including a chamber, a barrel, and a muzzle of a firearm. The cams have either fixed or articulated contact pads. Operating the keyway in clockwise rotation causes the cams to wedge against the inner chamber and barrel surfaces, locking the device in place. Counterclockwise keyway rotation unseats the cams, allowing the device to be remove from the chamber and barrel and thus allow operation of the firearm. The device includes several components designed to minimize tampering of the device itself as well as tampering of the firearm.
