    摘要: A fiber optic adapter module and tray. The fiber optic adapter module supports fiber optic adapters for fiber optic connections. The fiber optic adapter module may be included on an extendible tray portion of a fiber optic equipment tray and selectively configured to be tilted when extended for providing enhanced access to the fiber optic adapter module. In one embodiment, an adapter module panel of the fiber optic adapter module that supports fiber optic adapters contains at least two forward facing panel surfaces angled to one another to provide more surface area for supporting a higher density of fiber optic adapters and/or for neat routing and organizing of fiber optic connections. One or more fourth flared panel surfaces may also be included on an end(s) of the adapter module panel to provide sufficient interior space for fiber optic connections adjacent or proximate to sides of the fiber optic equipment tray.

    摘要: A fiber optic apparatus having a fiber optic equipment tray and an extension adapted to receive, organize and manage fiber optic cables routed to the fiber optic equipment tray is disclosed. The fiber optic equipment tray has a front, a rear, a base, and at least one extension rail. The extension movably attaches to the fiber optic equipment tray at the extension rail and, thereby, slidably extends from and retracts toward the rear of the fiber optic equipment tray. The extension comprises a shelf and a cable management tray hingedly attached to the shelf. The shelf moves over the base when the extension extends from and retracts toward the fiber optic equipment tray. The cable management tray is in planer alignment with the fiber optic equipment tray when the extension is retracted, and allowed to pivot downwardly when the extension is extended. At least one furcation plug tray attaches to the cable management tray. The at least one furcation plug tray adapted to mount at least one furcation plug to which fiber optic cables may be connected.

    摘要: Attachment mechanisms configured to be employed to attach a rear housing section to a fiber optic housing, and related assemblies and methods are disclosed. The rear housing section and the fiber optic housing may be part of fiber optic equipment configured to support fiber optic connections of a fiber optic network. The attachment mechanism is configured to be attached and extend from the rear housing section of the fiber optic housing while maintaining the same installed U space of the housing. The attachment mechanism may include a spring plunger which may releasably maintain the rear housing section in a position to allow fasteners to removably attach the rear housing section to the fiber optic housing. In this manner, the rear housing section may be attached to and removed from the fiber optic housing in an efficient manner to minimize downtime for the fiber optic network.
