摘要： A network connection method for an asynchronous mobile terminal is provided for reducing connection latency and power consumption. A network connection method for an asynchronous mobile terminal includes displaying a list of operators identified by scanning frequencies in a manual network selection mode, acquiring, when one of the operators is selected from the list, synchronization through a frequency of the selected operator, and connecting to a network through the frequency for receiving a service. The network connection method enables a mobile terminal to select an operator network through a single frequency scanning process unlike the convention method which performs frequency scanning twice, thereby reducing connection latency and power consumption of the mobile terminal.
